Storyline
I love learning, and teaching allows me to both continue my own education and help others discover the joy of learning.
My journey as a teacher began with a passion for making complex ideas understandable and enjoyable. This path didn’t follow a straight line; instead, it wove together my love for numbers, art, and science, ultimately guiding me to where I am today. After earning my Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from Mississippi State University, I began applying my deep knowledge of statistics in the classroom. But my academic journey started long before that, with degrees in Art History from Indiana University and Physics from Isfahan University of Technology. These disciplines gave me a unique perspective, showing me that the world of numbers is connected to broader ideas across art and science, forming a universal language.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I practice calligraphy, which keeps me grounded and reminds me that patience and creativity are as important in education as they are in art. I encourage my students to approach learning with the same curiosity and openness, whether they are mastering statistics or exploring other disciplines.
As I continue this journey, I remain dedicated to helping students grow both intellectually and personally, ensuring that they leave my classroom not only with knowledge but with the confidence to apply it in their future careers.
